Getting Into a Shower Stall With a Walker

Step-by-Step

  1. Person holding onto walker, facing away from chair that's in shower, with arrow pointing at leg touching chair.

    1. Step back until your leg touches the shower chair.

  2. Person holding onto walker, starting to sit, with arrow indicating person should move hand to side of chair that leg is touching.

    2. Grab that side of the chair first.

  3. Person holding onto walker and chair, with arrow indicating that person should move hand holding walker to chair.

    3. Then grab the other side.

  4. Person holding onto chair with both hands and arrow indicating person should sit down in center of chair.

    4. Sit in the center of the chair.

  5. Person sitting on chair, with arrow pointing from walker to empty space next to walker.

    5. Move your walker off to the side.

  6. Person sitting on chair with walker to the side and arrow indicating person should turn toward showerhead.

    6. Turn your body toward the showerhead.

  7. Person sitting on chair, with body turned toward showerhead and walker set away from chair.

    7. Face the showerhead.
